The Role
As a Senior Logistics Controller, you will oversee, manage, and optimize supply chain operations for both international and domestic logistics. This role demands a deep understanding of international logistics, including import/export regulations, customs procedures, and transportation solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building strong relationships with logistics partners, negotiating contracts, and monitoring performance.
- Planning and coordinating shipments, including the import of goods from India and domestic storage and transportation.
- Developing efficient shipping techniques and processes while ensuring compliance with import/export regulations and health and safety standards.
- Managing schedules for inbound and outbound shipments, troubleshooting logistics challenges, and continuously seeking process improvements.
- Collaborating closely with Procurement, Sales, Projects, and Contracts teams to align logistics strategies with business needs.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years in international logistics management, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record handling heavy and break-bulk cargo, particularly from the Far East/India, and knowledge of domestic road haulage.
- IT skills (including Microsoft Excel), experience with ERP/MRP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics), and outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a keen eye for detail, and demonstrate flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs.
