Job Specification – Mobile Repair Technician
📍 Location: Swindon (mobile across surrounding areas)
🕒 Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
📑 Contract Type: Permanent
Purpose of Role
We are looking for a Mobile Repair Technician (Electrical) to carry out planned, preventative, and responsive electrical maintenance across multiple retail premises in the Swindon area.
Key Responsibilities.
- Undertake electrical maintenance and repair works across retail sites.
- Carry out fault finding and reactive repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
- Perform emergency lighting tests and fuse board inspections.
- Repair sockets, switches, and other small power installations.
- Conduct PAT testing and rewiring when required.
- Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and health & safety standards.
- Provide clear communication with clients and maintain accurate records of works completed.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Proven commercial electrical experience.
- Strong fault-finding and repair skills.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent qualification).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain prior to starting).
- Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
