Infrastructure Engineer
Job Purpose
We are working with a client seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable IT infrastructure systems to support critical business operations.
This role requires extensive technical expertise in networking, server management, virtualisation, cloud platforms, and security. As a senior team member, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor the service desk team, and play a key role in strategic infrastructure projects.
You will be required to be onsite in Witney 5 days a week with travel to other sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management: Ensure the group’s network, server, voice, and data infrastructure meets IT Business SLA standards. Provide a seamless customer experience by understanding their needs and embedding these into technical solutions.
- Project Management: Manage customer and project requirements within budgets and deliverables, ensuring smooth transition from project closure to operational support.
- Technical Advisory: Serve as a technical advisor to customers on IT systems selection, acquisition, and implementation across the group.
- Documentation & Standards: Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture standards.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong background in networking, server management, virtualisation, and cloud platforms.
- Proven ability to manage complex IT infrastructure projects from concept through to completion.
- Demonstrated expertise in documentation, IT security, and technical support.
Salary & Benefits:
- Up to £45,000 pa
- £6k car allowance on top
