Peaple Talent have exclusively partnered with a leading renewable energy organisation who are recruiting for a Head Of Finance/Controller based out of their offices in Royal Leamington Spa. This role will be pivotal to the future growth of the organisation and would be a great opportunity to shape the financial strategy of the business over the next 5 years. This role would suit someone who has great attention to detail and can provide hands on leadership and structure in a dynamic fast paced growing SME environment.
Salary £60,000 – £80,000pa
Flexible hybrid working 1 day per week in the office in Leamington Spa 4 days remote
About the Role
- Work alongside senior management to shape financial planning, forecasting, and reporting frameworks.
- Establish best practices into budgeting, procurement, supply chain tracking
- Develop systems to track project performance, cost allocation, and cash flow, helping improve decision-making and margins.
- Forecasting to reporting and involvement in the day-to-day operations while building the function for scale.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Essential:
- Proven experience in a senior finance role within an SME or growth-stage business
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to operate both strategically and operationally
- Ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with limited structure
- Highly proficient in financial planning, reporting, and system implementation
Desirable:
- Experience working in the engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors
- Knowledge of procurement, contract negotiation, or commercial operations
- Previous involvement in system upgrades or ERP implementation
- Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable but not essential
