About Helen Tanner, Data Cubed
In this episode, we are joined by Helen Tanner. Helen graduated with a master’s in Oceanology from University. She then went on to work at the met office where she got into monetizing data. Additionally, after moving to Bristol, Helen went on to work in financial services. Therefore, she worked for large corporations such as AXA. Helen also went into marketing roles before starting Data Cubed in 2017.
Data Cubed work with organisations that want more insight into their business, customers or assets but don’t have the right data skills, enough time in the day, or enough money to hire full-time staff.
What We Discuss
In this interview, Helen talks openly about her ‘rollercoaster’ journey and talks us through the highs and the lows of starting her business, and how they have been affected by the pandemic. Furthermore, Helen offers advice to those thinking of leaving behind security to set up a business and an insight into her experience as a woman in a very male-dominated industry.
