Senior Project Manager – Decarbonisation & HVAC

Senior Mechanical Project Manager | Fast-Track Commercial Retail

Location: Castleford (National Travel)

Peaple Talent are partnered with an industry-leading, fast-growing commercial space transformation specialist looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join their business in Castleford.

In this role, you will take full operational leadership of a portfolio of fast-track mechanical, HVAC, decarbonisation, and asset replacement projects in live commercial environments, managing project teams and client relationships.

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager delivering mechanical, HVAC, heat pump, and building services projects.
• Track record of managing multiple concurrent fast-track asset replacement or decarbonisation schemes
• Strong commercial acumen with hands-on expertise managing CVRs, forecasting, change control, project margins, and sub-contractor packages.
• Proven capability in direct client account management and leading Project Managers or site delivery teams.
• Active SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid, and Asbestos Awareness certifications (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Act as operational lead across allocated client accounts, driving portfolio delivery across commercial retail sites.
• Oversee site surveys, design reviews, constructability assessments, and project mobilization to ensure clear scopes and programmes.
• Own project and portfolio financial performance, managing budgets, CVRs, variations, and final accounts.
• Direct and mentor Project Managers and delivery teams while managing sub-contractors and supplier relationships.
• Drive right-first-time commissioning, quality management, and thorough documentation for seamless handovers.
