In this episode of our TekCurious Founder Series, we talk with Alexander Young, the Founder and CEO of Virti.
Virti are ‘pioneering the use of cloud-based experiential reality (XR) and artificial intelligence in the fields of education, training and recruitment’. They are utilising gamification and artificial intelligence to help employees learn faster. Their mission is to make experiential education affordable for everyone. Moreover, the company have recently been identified by Tech Nation as one of the UK’s most promising tech companies. In addition, the tech company has also been included on TIME’s best inventions list for 2020. Not to mention, during the pandemic, the company’s training tech has been used to help hospitals, universities, schools and businesses. For instance, Virti developed a Covid-19 module to teach frontline workers skills such as how to ventilate a patient, safe use of personal protective equipment, and navigate an intensive care ward.
Furthermore, we hear the story of how Alex went from training and working as an NHS Trauma and Orthopedic surgeon, to starting up his own business. Additionally, Alexander talks us through his values and his advice for aspiring entrepreneurs.
