The Role:

Based remotely you will be tasked with the following:

– Architecture, availability and performance of our entire cloud DB estate

– Ensure all our instance data is synchronized to our data lake (Snowflake)

– Mentoring Junior Data Engineers

– Maintain the right level of observability, alerting for our Databases

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this (role) will have relevant experience of SQL experience in a development environment.

You’ll also need a background of a minimum 2 years of experience as a DB Engineer in an AWS environment and experience in migrating databases from on-prem to the cloud (experience as part of a digital transformation program is beneficial)

Tech stack is focused around:

• Expertise in configuration, administration and tuning of MSSQL, PostgresSQL and Oracle 19c RDS in AWS
• Expert knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
• Strong understanding of modern database concepts, troubleshooting skills
• Creating terraform scripts and orchestration of deployment pipelines with CI/CD tools
