IT Support Engineer | Exeter/Bournemouth | Permanent | £30,000
Peaple Talent has partnered with an industry-leading organization in the South-West looking for an IT Support Engineer.
Our client is looking for someone with experience as an IT expert providing internal support

The Role:
You will be primarily responsible for supporting the business IT services at 1st, 2nd and 3rd line levels.
Based mainly in Exeter with some work out of Bournemouth and the possibility for some remote working, you will be reporting to the head of IT and be tasked with the following:
-Running the main Windows Operating Systems; both at Server and Desktop level.
-Ensuring that the maintenance, administration and regular monitoring checks are completed and ensure that the Server and Desktop estate provide a robust and highly available platform.
– Actively involved in the client’s cybersecurity programme, documenting procedures and policies.
– Supporting and delivering local and Group-wide projects
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this IT Support Engineer role will have relevant experience of working as an IT expert providing internal support and provide a 5-year employment history in order to obtain CTC clearance,
You’ll also need a background in:
- Good technical configuration and troubleshooting skills with all Windows operating systems.
o Office 365 admin
o MS 365 security and user admin
o Active Directory (incl. DNS, DHCP, GPO)
o WSUS and SCCM
o Remote access technologies, e.g. VPN, RDP.
o Virtual servers and onsite/cloud (AWS/MS) hosting technologies.
o Networking systems and protocols
o Security systems/software/protocols – AV, MFA, encryption, MDM, filtering, ATP etc.
o Monitoring systems, e.g. PRTG.
o Cisco networking and firewalls
o Check Point firewalls
Plus, it’s vital that you have a minimum of 3 years of experience working at 2nd and 3rd line level
