Info Security/Governance Engineer

Info Security / Governance Engineer | Emersons green | Contract(Inside of IR35) | Up to £450

Peaple Talent has partnered with a world-class innovation company looking for an Info Security/Governance Engineer.

The head of this project is looking for someone to come in to support an ISO27001 implementation on an initial 6month contract.

The Role:

The role’s focus will be on the implementation of selected controls rather than actual accreditation. A gap analysis on 27001 is currently being undertaken by a third party although there are some known gaps that need fixing. You will be the delivery lead on this info governance project.

The initial focus will be on documenting infosec and cyber policies. You will be working on a pre-existing set of interlinked policies and will work with their existing Information Security Officer and business teams.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Info Security/Governance Engineer role will have previous experience of 27001 implementations in a medium-sized business

You’ll also need a background in:

• GDPR experience
• Policy creation
• Information classification (ideally with some information architecture experience)
• Some defence experience would be strongly preferred (e.g. experience of working with classified documentation, dealing with MOD customers, and working towards an FSC (List X) facility.

The Package:

Basic salary:  Up to £450 per day
