Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Go / Golang Engineer with at least 8 years experience to primarily build and maintain a Digital Bank mobile application. Your primary focus will be on developing Go interfaces and microservices. The technology stack is based on Flutter front-end, Golang backend, Postgres database and AWS cloud infrastructure

Your Responsibilities:

• Drive the development of internal systems with key stakeholders
• Take end-to-end responsibility for your project role and focus on building scalable and cloud-ready software solutions in AWS cloud and API-first tech environment.
• Ensure Go interfaces and microservices function as per requirements, well documented and with reasonable test coverage.
• Prepare detailed functional specifications, design models, and system workflows from which software applications will be developed and implemented.
• Design and develop enterprise systems making determinations about system security, stability, performance and scalability with limited support to keep systems current.
• Responsible for analysis of programs including diagnosis and troubleshooting of problems and the design, code, test and implementation of the solution.
• Build systems for production and implement quality solutions with operations in mind.
• Projects include building mobile APIs, backend public / private APIs and the development of related microservices to meet system requirements.
• Emphasis on fast turnaround and quality using BDD, DDD, and CI / CD approaches.

Must Have Requirements:

• 8+ years backend engineering work experience (3+ years programming Go)
• Bachelor of Computer Science (or other relevant technical / engineering degree)
• Experience with Agile delivery and working in SCRUM based sprint teams.
• Experience with Docker Compose containers (e.g. AWS ECS)
• Experience with Kubernetes Clustered architecture (e.g. AWS EKS)
• Good knowledge of distributed system, microservice and service mesh architecture
• Experience with Event-Driven Development and Message Queues (e.g. AWS SQS)
• Strong knowledge of Go programming language, paradigms, constructs, and idioms
• Knowledge of common Go routine and channel patterns
• Good knowledge of package management tools such as Glide
• Latency and fault tolerant tools like go-hystrix
• Ability to write clean and effective Godoc comments
• Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git
• Rigor on Unit testing, coverage and best practices.
• Good working experience on high traffic microservices
• DevOps experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and CI / CD pipeline tools
• Rest API experience – Open API 2.0 and 3.0
• English working level proficiency

Nice to Have Requirements:

• Masters of Computer Science degree or technical certifications
• Experience with Atlassian (e.g. Jira, Confluence), Smartbear (e.g. Swagger / SwaggerHub, SoapUI, Cucumber) and Gitlab tools
• FinTech (digital bank) mobile app development project experience
• Knowledge of the digital banking or crypto industries
• GitHub account with cool projects
• Experience with blockchain technologies
• Experience with security protocols
• German-speaking / writing skills
